After a child in foster care is freed for adoption through the proper channels, our office is contacted either by the adoptive foster parents or by DCFS on behalf of the adoptive parents. At that point in time the state sends us a packet of the necessary documents, and we gather important information from the adoptive parents and draft the adoption pleadings. We work diligently and always process state adoptions within 10 days or less of receipt of the packet from DCFS. Luke is a Senior Project Manager for a Pharmacy Software Company, where he works from home. He is such a gentle spirit and hands-on Dad, our son often checks in on him in his office to see when he's ready to play! Kayla is a full time at home Mom, who also happens to be Cohen’s absolute favorite person right now. Kayla is a very confident, encouraging and uplifting person that loves playtime and making every moment special for our son. We met at a church event in 2007 and were married two years later. We’ve been married for 13 years now and spending time together in marriage is so much fun when you’re doing it with your best friend. Our walk with God and focus on family is the cornerstone in our lives. We prayed about adoption for years before adopting our first child, Cohen (see photo above) who now makes us wonder what life was even like before he became a part of our little family. We’re so proud and in love with him!
