Hello! Nice to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to get to know a bit about us and the life and love we hope to share with a child.

We are Caitrin and Gerard from South Louisiana. We met as many millennials do, on a dating app and quickly went on our first date which ended in late night chicken nuggets and cheese fries, a delicacy we still enjoy today. We have been together for eight years and married for five.

Gerard works in sales and marketing and has been with his company for 12 years. Caitrin is an attorney and works as a research manager for a legal technology company. Gerard is generous, devoted to the happiness of others and is a natural born helper. He can’t help helping. He is kind, leads by example and creates a safe space for everyone in his life. Caitrin loves deeply and gives her whole heart to the people and animals she cares for. She is gentle, thoughtful and endlessly patient. Being parents is something we have carried in our hearts for many years and we cannot wait to shower a child with love and devotion.

We live a life full of adventure, love, and constant entertainment from our two cats, dog, and three chickens. We love spending time in, on, or around water whether that be boating, sailing, fishing, or hanging out at the pool with friends. Music and food play a central role in most of our activities, whether that be at home cooking with a record on or exploring new venues and restaurants. We can’t wait to share our water, culinary, and musical adventures with a child.

After failed fertility treatments and numerous signs that adoption has always been the right choice for growing our family, we firmly believe that this is the path God has called us to walk. Caitrin’s family has been involved with adoption her whole life through her dad’s work as the director of a foster care system and her aunt and cousin’s journey back to one another following his adoption as a child. We have several friends who have adopted and been a constant source of guidance and support. Our friends cannot wait to add another child to our growing chosen family.
